In the 70’s Poland “the fajfs” (FAJFY, Polish word derived by association with the pronunciation of english “five”) were very popular afternoon (5 o’clock) home dance parties. We modified this form, and invited everyone who wants to dance to our FAJFY but at 6 pm – the regular Monday dance and movement classes run by “cultural officers on duty” – the residents of Old Brewery New Dance program.
The classes did not require any professional preparation and were unconditionally open to ALL amateurs – lovers of contemporary dance! And especially those who have always dreamed of experiencing the joy of dancing and recharging their batteries with an endless dose of positive energy, but have been afraid to try it so far!
Thanks to dances led by the artists working in the spaces of Stary Browar Słodownia +3 studio, participants got to know not only the secrets of dance art, but also the actors of Old Brewery New Dance program, who day after day made Studio Słodownia +3 vibrate with dance energy.
