Focusing primarily on how lighting itself affects drama and its aesthetic potential, the workshop will consider some aspects of lighting such as volumetry, color mixing, and movement in light.
The workshop proposes to look at light as an equal part of creating a performance or as an independent actor (when used in installations). To this end, the research will focus on building a context, a structure or a space – the main actor of the workshop, which we will illuminate to test different lighting scenarios and its possibilities. The class offers a chance to explore questions of intensity and the mixing and layering of colors. The result of the workshop will be an independent installation in which light will be the main performer.
