Florian Bach is a light designer and sculptor. Besides creating installations exhibited in various galleries and museums, he is also involved in the dance and performance scene in Germany and Switzerland. Over the past ten years he has designed light for several European choreographers and companies (Kate McIntosh, Yann Marussich, Isabelle Schad, Irina Müller, Eva Meyer Keller, Sybille Müller, Nicole Seiler a.o.). He is a co-founder of Wiesen55 e.V, a collective project in Berlin, that renovated a building that now offers production space for artists. He is a member of Gangplank, a group of lighting, sound and visualization designers, musicians and choreographers that explores the relationship between technology and dramaturgy in the practice of creating stage works. Since 2008 he has worked regularly with choreographer Simone Aughterlony designing light for all her projects.
