Ruth Waldeyer is a light designer, musician and performer. She has created numerous designs for theater and dance performances (for Clément Layes, Alice Chauchat, Fréderic Gies, Good Work and Annie Dorsen, a.o.). She is a founding member of Gangplank, a group of lighting, sound and visualization designers, musicians and choreographers that explores the relationship between technology and drama in the practice of creating stage works. She is also a festival organizer and curator (radioriff 2003, Dein Wort in Gottes Ohr 2008 and CC N°1 Corruptive Climate 2012 [with Christina Ertl]), and technical director of ausland/Berlin. She is a musician and performer in The King Anabels and The Best Intentions, and currently also in The Wedding Band and the operetta “The Swan Song”. She hosts radio shows with Uli Ertel and with SissiFM – your feminist radio magazine on rebootFM. In 2002, she received her MFA from the Department of Performing Arts at HBK Braunschweig under Anzu Furukawa and Marina Abramovic.
