The project envisaged regular annual cooperation between the Polish and Philadelphia dance communities. Study visits by Polish and American choreographers (combined with residency and research stays) were intended to foster the development of an artistic exchange of ideas and experiences between the two centers and young artists seeking their own dance identity. The axis of the stay of American artists in Poland was the June and July dance events, including international dance festivals (in Gdansk, Warsaw and Poznan), the revisits of Polish artists in Philadelphia were usually held in the autumn. 

Arranging stays during major dance events allowed for an in-depth understanding of the dance scene, meeting a large number of local artists (both in the studio and as part of festival presentations of their work), and the opportunity to offer guests both to lead a workshop at one of the events and to provide him with a space for his own studio work.
