We will zoom into dance history, not only in talking about the last 40 years in dance but also work with some of the different practices that developed during that time in regard to methodes of creating material and composition.
A strong focus will be on different forms of improvisation and techniques to awaken and threnghten personal creativity into the ma king of dances. Anatomic imagery exercises to understand our structure and how it works (ideokinetic bodywork), authentic movement (dancing with closed eyes and beeing watched by a partner) will deepen a personal way of sourcing movement and dance), contact improvisation will make us dance energaticly and senual, the viewpoint-theory of mary overly will help us to structure our personal choreographic desire.
This course is intended to hear, understand and experience dance history and some of the practices, to open doors to new ways of working, or to strenghten the path you are on allready.
