The fragment of The Garden of Forking Paths by J.L. Borges quoted as a motto makes a perfect commentary on the area of my artistic inspirations and reflections. The statements I formulate in my art are about personal, private experiences. They refer to the time past, the present and the future. They give an account of reflections concerning the experience of reality. They speak of events, places and things. The “own” point of view is the only one I can make an artistic statement from. Transposed into a material form, it constitutes the expression and synthesis of a subjective experience. Certainly, the area of private world is like many others and may seem banal or ordinary, and yet, it “happens to me”. In my work I take up the issue of time, space, experience, memory and presence. The subject of memory, time, disappearance of the traces of presence has accompanied me for a long time.
