Dance is often described as a “language” without much thought. If this is true, how can we “read” and understand dance? The performance “threeseconds” searches for an individual language of movement and wants to show what is “unspeakable” in language (analogy with everything that cannot be “seen” in dance).
Willi Dorner
This is so-called “experimental dance” at its best:Play, enriched by an analytical approach to dance and built on experimentation based on a strong concept. Willi Dorner was able to show animated images on three levels – in video projections, sound and movement, and then on each level reduce them to pure essence. “threeseconds” is a true gem of contemporary dance – intelligent and entertaining.
Edith Wolf-Perez, tanz.at
What’s refreshing about Dorner’s solos and duets is the involvement of humor in the dance.
Andrea Amort, Courier
“threeseconds” is a satire on the sign decoding mechanisms available to us (…): intelligently conceived, brilliantly danced and perfectly choreographed.
Helmut Ploebst, ballet-tanz
