It all starts in the space that surrounds us, full of all kinds of objects – walls and furniture, blankets, everyday objects – where we live and where we belong. I tried to imagine a machine constantly producing images. A closed space conjuring up images. In such a space the dancers’ bodies are constantly close to each other: they live together, share common issues and interact with their surroundings. They behave absurdly, but they seem to behave so intentionally….
So not so much chaos as disorder. Disorder and closeness. No customary rules apply. By treating non-normal actions as normal, distance begins to appear. Like a cartoon, the action built up in a dreamlike process becomes surreal. This logic of the absurd is definitely a path of interest.
And then the deconstruction of space causes the bodies to scatter. No one knows anymore what will happen next….
