The third exhibition of the Changing The Guard series updated the concept of an artistic duel which has always been present in European historiography. Is such an artistic contest possible nowadays, when it is far more proper to refer to art as creating specific situations than making an actual object? The line between art and reality seems to have vanished. Małgorzata Kopczyńska and Maciej Kurak decided to “fight” the DUEL presented in the Gallery. Spectators had an opportunity to get immersed in a real-time situation and experienced its transformation into a work of art.
