“what would happen to man, to the human race, equipped with the “sharpest” “greatest” appetite for crossing successive borders and more and more exciting, delightful impressions and sensations – if it were not for the cultural hedging: norms, orders, prohibitions, laws, moral and ethical regulations of various origins?”
“Delight in Culture” by Ł. Wróblewski, A. Giza
To eat, to gobble, to “live”, to buy, to get as much as possible out of mortality. More power, more inches, more panels, more pixels, more gold, more food, more, more, more… Falseness contradicts beauty, and yet we are fooled. As the show goes on, the characters will more and more expose their nature, reveal the ugliness that fills them from within.
THEY – will slowly shed their masks:
Speaking – without understanding
Eating – without thinking
Dancing without rhythm
Thinking – of themselves
And destroying – others.
As much Devil in Angel, so much Animal in Man.
And if a wild animal really appears on stage at some point – the question will come – what are we really seeing… ?
