In June, for the first time, Art in Practice was led by not one, but two people – a unique artist-curator duo: Jan Berdyszak and Marta Smolińska. The model of cooperation they represent is a rarity – Smolińska has been researching and analyzing Berdyszak’s work for more than 10 years, and above all preparing exhibitions of his works throughout Poland in close consultation with the artist. Each of their projects is preceded by long talks, joint deliberations on the selection of works, the arrangement and many hours bending over the gallery plans.
