A novelty among the competitions proposed by Short Waves Festival 2014. In response to a high level of participation and artistic success of the Forward Motion programme presented during the 5th edition of Short Waves, which consisted of productions belonging to the so-called screen dance genre, i.e., short films whose theme is dance, AdArte Foundation decided to establish Dances with Camera.

Short films whose duration time is not longer than 30 minutes and whose theme is dance may enter the competition. There are no restrictions as for the genre of the film. The competition set will be selected from the submitted films. The Dances with CameraJury Prize (4000zł) and two honorable mentions (1000zł each) will be awarded by an international jury. Dances with CameraAudience Award (2000zł) will be given by the audience participating in the competition screening.
