P.A.R.T.S. (The Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) is a dance school in Brussels – the capital city of European dance. It offers training in contemporary dance for dancers/choreographers. The school recruits its students from over 20 different countries. The language of instruction is English. The training program lasts for 4 years, with the curriculum divided in two cycles of two years: the basic ‘Training’ cycle and the advanced ‘Research’ cycle.
Classes and workshops at P.A.R.T.S. are led by world-famous choreographers, dancers, composers, and contemporary dance theorists (e.g.: Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker, Jonathan Burrows, Janet Panetta, Chrysa Parkinson, Matteo Fargion, Jan Ritsema, Bojana Cvejic, Ted Stoffer, Marten Spanberg). Many of the P.A.R.T.S. graduates are now actively shaping the contemporary dance world.
In order to take part in auditions for P.A.R.T.S. in May 2008, one has to first go through the process of pre-auditions which take place in Brussels and in 17 other places around the world. This year Polish pre-auditions for P.A.R.T.S. are organized in Poznań on 16th Feb 2008, at the STARY BROWAR Art Center (Studio Słodownia +3).
To take part in the pre-auditions, it is necessary to send a filled in registration form available online (together with a lot of useful information) at www.PARTS.be
The registration deadline is 7 days before the pre-audition day. Preliminary requirements: a candidate must have passed a secondary-school final exam, be not younger than 24 and have communicative knowledge of English.
