The dance performance Working like a Dog is an open choreography in which movement and words appear on the borderline of time, space and meaning. The starting point of this project was the human desire for lightness. The understanding between poetry and dance is based on a shared sensitivity to moments in which states of being do change. The meaning of spoken words is connected to the movement of the body, and movement evokes words.
Dance is based on the realization of impossible tasks and on the kinesthetic extension of the imagination, in which this extension, movement can transcend the limitations of the body. In the duet, Eryk Green and Maria Zimpel try to reinforce the space and time they share with the audience and struggle with the question: can I levitate anymore?
