Since 2001, Transphotographiques has been disseminating and supporting photographic activity in the European environment. For this reason, the festival, held in the heart of Europe – French city of Lille – became an essential part of the landscape of international photography. As an indispensable annual meeting of amateurs and professionals, it enables the discovery of works by established and emerging artists alike and the exchange of ideas on contemporary photography. Transphotographiques, despite its European context, also supports local artists and ensures that its own region is properly valued. This support also translates into regular international presentations of works by photographers associated with the festival.

The retrospective exhibition, presented in Poznan on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of Transphotographiques, a selection of the most significant works shown in all the editions of the festival so far, designed to highlight its characteristic diversity.

The exhibition featured works by: Peter Lindbergh, Georges Rousse, Bettina Rheims, Willy Ronis, Thibaut Cuisset, Peter Knapp, Cédrik Delsaux, François-Marie Banier, the duo Kramarz & Lodzinska, William Klein, Sabine Weiss, Denis Rouvre, Jean-Claude Palisse, Vasco Ascolini, Leszek Pękalski, Eric Lebrun, Yan Tomaszewski, among others.
