The festival was organized by the Theatre Students Association and students from the Department of History of Art from Adam Mickiewicz University in collaboration with The Cricoteka Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor. It attracted mainly students from departments of History of Art and Theatre Studies. An extensive five day long agenda included shows of very rare films documenting Kantor’s creative processes.
The screenings were accompanied by highly interesting lectures by art and theatre theorists (Prof. Dobrochna Ratajczakowa, Prof. Zbigniew Osiński, Dr. Marek Pieniążek, Dr. Piotr Bernatowicz, Prof. Jerzy Gurawski and students from the Department of History of Art and others). On the final day of the festival students met with actors affiliated with Cricot 2 Theatre, Teresa Wełmińska and Andrzej Wełmiński.
The curators’ Agata Mazur and Marcin Maćkiewicz idea was to present the complete works of Tadeusz Kantor who is perceived as one of the most prominent Polish artists.
