In her research project Katarzyna Sloboda explored the issue of attention (and mindfulness) in both the creation and reception of dance. Remaining in close relation with the practices of selected choreographers, she focused not only on theoretical aspects of the issue, but also on practical ways of working with viewers’ perception and attentiveness. The scholarship resulted in interviews and texts published on the web portal taniecPOLSKA.pl. Katarzyna also developed (and tested in practice) a script for post-show talks with viewers and artists. Gathered materials would find place in the publication of a book which constituted the final stage of a doctoral dissertation on the same subject (written and defended in the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw).
