“Music (Praticable)” is a search for the motivations and origins of moving, dancing, being there in present time and how this can relate to music, sounding, vocalizing, breathing, being there again… A space between texture and form, seeing and hearing, perception and state, vibration and composition, forgetting and discovering, pleasure of dance and pleasure of music. Comparing musical terminology and concepts with physiology, choreographic writing and compositional elements in dance, “Music (Praticable)” looks into the relationships between visual and auditory rhythms, between musical terms and organizations of bodies writing themselves in space like motifs, figures, polyphonic voices or body-landscapes.

Isabelle Schad, is a Berlin based choreographer shows are strongly based on body practices (Body-Mind Centering), research and continuous learning processes towards (re)presentation. She also involved herself in discussing modes and questioning an idea of collaborations in performing arts. In 2005 artists co-created Berliner collective Praticable – a horizontal work structure, based on the sharing of body practices, which brings together research, learning processes, creation, production and distribution, multiplying circulations between them (other artists involved are Alice Chauchat, Frédéric de Carlo, Frédéric Gies, Isabelle Schad and Odile Seitz). Another recent experience of making works together is the series of pieces: “Unturtled(s)” (from 2009 ongoing) realized with the visual artist Laurent Goldring, Piece from the “Unturtled” series was presented at Stary Browar in 2010. Isabelle Schad is teaching in Berlin at the MA Choreography and BA (HZT) and internationally (in March 2010 she held a coaching within Alternative Dance Academy at Stary Browar).
