Grand re Union – October – Liquefaction / Waves of Change
17.10.2020

Chosen by the curator term „Liquefaction“ is the translation of the German word „Verflüssigung“, which is a title of a book by Adrienne Goehler (2006). The term is a starting point for the session reflections on our times of liquefaction, times where structures dissolve and crumble through constant waves of change that are rolling and retreating repeatedly onto and against the stable fundaments of patriarchy. So now, when I see structures liquefying, what do we build to stay safe? what makes us float in the troubling waters? Next to open program, for magazine issue curator proposed a rhizome talks formula inviting artists to exchange thoughts and ideas. It started with a trialogue of Eva Karczag, Karen Schaffman and Eszter Gál. Then each picked two other guests to have a conversation with and record it, and these two new guests would pick each two new guests to talk with and record. A growing Trio Score, a rhizomatic structure of 21 participants in 10 talks.
