Bruno Listopad – Workshops for professionals – Reconfiguration
18.11.2013 – 22.11.2013
Studio Słodownia +3

With this workshop we will explore how movement can be generated by undergoing a precarious state characteristic of a body that is “strange to itself”. This will be achieved through an associative, emphatic and binary practice that questions the limits of the body and explores the relationship between the “self” and the “other”, the intuition and control, the chaos and order. We will research how fiction (creating ones circumstance), constrain (establishing ones limits), immersing into chaotic states (abandoning oneself to chaos and reorganizing ones inhabitation/command of this), chance (welcoming accident and perceiving this as an opportunity for associative thinking) and precariousness (instability/dysfunction) can generate alternative movement material that can be directly implemented in emergent compositions.
We will progress throughout the class from a gentle warm up based on relaxation towards a more intense physical and kinetic exploration. The exercises will be executed both individually and collectively. We will have the possibility to be informed directly from our movement experiences and from the observations we make as spectators of each other.
