Performance – happening to music inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, composed by Agnieszka Zdrojek-Suchodolska, graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznan.

The chessboard stage is a meeting place for many characters, people of different ages, representing different styles and techniques of movement. The music gradually releases their own rhythm and movement on the individual squares of the chessboard; then it combines them into larger wholes and allows them to move in unlimited space; sometimes it stops them in an almost invisible movement-picture, and sometimes it twists them until they are out of breath; finally – it brings them all to life.

The color of the costumes: black and white is an attempt to set the stage floor in motion and lift it into space; the red dresses of the soloists are the energy that helps the music “awaken” all the characters.
