Photo Diploma Award Poznan 2011 is an international competition aimed at presenting and promoting the best BA and MA graduation works in the field of photography.
The competition, accompanying the 7th Biennale of Photography in Poznań, one acclaimed as one of the major events related to photography in Poland, offered its participants an opportunity to show their work to both the general public and professionals – curators, critics and gallery owners.
The participants were offered a chance to take part in the Competition’s follow-up international exhibition, to meet young photographers from around the world and to show their solo exhibition during the 8th Biennale of Photography in Poznań in 2013.
The PHOTO DIPLOMA AWARD 2011 Jury composed of: Olga Korsunova (Russia), Joanna Lehan (USA), Tina Kukielski (USA), Dr. Marianna Michałowska (Poland), Horst Kloever (Germany), Kimmo Lehtonen (Finland), Prof. Vaclav Macek (Slovakia), and Dr. Adam Mazur (Poland), had selected 22 finalists to take part in the Competition’s follow-up exhibition. The Jury selected from among them the winner of the Grand Prix and of the First Prize.
The Grand Prix winner received an award in the amount of PLN 6 000 and an invitation to show a solo exhibition during the 8th Biennale of Photography in Poznań in 2013. The First Prize winner received an award in the amount of PLN 3 000.
The announcement of the results took place during the Competition’s follow-up exhibition on September 23, 2011.
