Yossi Berg is the receipt of the Israeli Ministry of Culture award for an ‘out standing Choreographers’ and ‘best solo artist performer’ between the years 2001-2006. He won first prize of the ‘International Serge Diaghilev Competition of Choreography Art’ Gdansk Poland 2003 and of the ‘International Competition for Choreography’ Hanover, Germany 2006. Berg worked with DV8 Physical Theater,Batsheva Dance Company (where he worked with choreographers as Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Angelin Preljocaj among others), Yasmeen Godder Company and others. Between the years 1997-2007 he commissioned choreographies for the “Curtain-up / International Exposure” festivals in Tel Aviv. He created works for International dance companies and opera theaters such as: Batsheva Dance Co. and Muza Dance Co. in Israel, Donlon Dance Co. and Tanztheater Osnabruk in Germany, “Gaida” – The International Festival for Electronic music and Aura Dance Co. in Lithuania, Polski Ballet, Belgrade Drama Theater and his works are featured in different festivals and he is teaching and leading workshops throughout Israel and Europe. In 2006 he created “Heroes” – a full length evening together with Oded Graf, which he is both collaborating and performing with since 2005 in Israel and Europe.

The collaboration between Yossi and Oded started during 2005 alongside with their other activities as independent choreographers. Their experience together raised up issues, style, physicality and new ways of looking at dance and the exploration of performance.
