Wojtek Kaproń – choreographer, dancer, actor, teacher. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where he studied cultural animation. Since 1998 Wojtek has participated in numerous dance workshops in Poland and abroad (release, contact improvisation, body conditioning, body mind centering, Polish technique of contemporary dance, improvisation). A participant and award winner of many international ballroom dance competitions. Since 2001 he has been dancing in Lublin Dance Theater. He co-organizes International Dance Theaters Festival in Lublin and Contemporary Dance Forum. Since 2003 he acts as a coordinator and teacher for the Open Dance and Conditioning Workshops organized by the Lublin Culture Center. Wojtek has cooperated with Cie. Stanisław Wiśniewski, W&M Physical Theatre, H. CH. Andersen Theater in Lublin. His performance (choreographed by Ryszard Kalinowski) won the 2nd prize at Das Beste Deutsche Solo Competition in Leipzig. In 2005 he was awarded the for cultural activity and artistic achievement with a Theater Prize established by the City Mayor of Lublin.
