Ula Zerek – since 2004 has been cooperating with Dada Theater, performing in “ODYS-Seas” (2004), “Eden” (2006), “Barricade of Love” (2008), “L’herb rouge” (2009), “Red Grass” (2009). In 2009, being a resident of the Żak Club, she received the grant from the Marshal of Pomorskie Voivodship, with the help of which she realized her individual work “Humuli Lupuli” with live music by Dominik Bukowski and Zofia Wrobel. Also in 2009 together with a group of artists from Germany and Poland she realized a multimedia project “Pixel Fall 3D”, which was presented in Gdansk and Bremen. In 2009 she was awarded by Gazeta Wyborcza with two independent SZTORM 2009 prizes in the category of Theater (for “Humuli Lupuli” and “Red Grass”) and Multimedia (for Pixel Fall 3D). She collaborates with Read My Lips Theater. In 2007 she took part in the Crossing Places project, where – together with artists of different disciplines from France, Italy, the Czech Republic and Poland – she created “Camera Obscura”, a dance performance directed and choreographed by Manon Avram (presented at the Es.terni Festival in Terni, in Arezzo and in Venice/ Italy). Since 2006 she collaborates with visual artist Kamila Chomicz. Together they made three short dance movies presented in Polish TV Culture. Next to performing in those films, Urszula appeared in a video work by Anna and Adam Witkowski “Let’s dance” (2009). In April 2006 she took part in the Noord Holland project, collaborating with Wies Bloemen, the director of Aya Dance Theater, Amsterdam, Holland. Ula is graduated from English Philology at the University of Gdansk and finished the Music School in Gdansk.
