Sjoerd Vreugdenhil is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and the Rotterdam Dance Academy. As a soloist, he danced with the Zurich Ballet and, for six years, with Ballett Frankfurt, where he made two pieces incl Fat Peggy’s Sober Property (2001). He has also completed a course in architecture at the Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam. Apart from his own projects produced by his foundation StichtingTroublespoon, Sjoerd Vreugdenhil has made choreographies for companies like Dansgroep Krisztina de Chatel, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Dansgroep Amsterdam, Dance Works Rotterdam, Codarts Rotterdam, Korzo Theater, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Staatsoper unter den Linden Berlin, Berliner Philharmonic, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Semperoper Dresden and many more.
