After two years of studying biochemistry, Saskia Hölbling decided to study dance at the Vienna Conservatory and then at the prestigious PARTS Anna Teresa de Keersemaeker school in Brussels. She received scholarships from DanceWeb and Atelier du Monde/Montpellier Danse 2001. As a dancer she collaborated with many distinguished choreographers including Willi Dorner (mazy, back to return) and Benoit Lachambre (solo rrr….).
