Rafał Pierzyński makes queer performances and collages. He completed Stage Dance, Movement Studies and Performance at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz with the MA research project titled Embodied Communication – attending to the modes of touch. The practice of touching is the center of his work. He has lead workshops as part of the SDC residency in Madrid and Casablanca, S.T.R.E.T.C.H. Festival in Berlin, at the university in Linz and at Esther Eppstein’s Message Salon Zurich Nord where he also released his zine Touching. He has performed with Cie. Off Verticality / Rose Breuss, Virgilio Sieni Company, Daniel Hellmann, Elena Giannotti, Alex Baczynski-Jenkins, Anna Nowak, and Ewa Dziarnowska. Together with Agnieszka Pędziwiatr he co-creates the DIVAS project.
