Radek Hewelt (b. 1973) began his dance career in 1992 with the Gdańsk-based Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre. Between 1998 and 2002, he studied dance and choreography at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. Since 2003, he has been living and working in Vienna. His dancing collaborations include Leszek Bzdyl (Poland), Thierry de Mey (Belgium), Sara Gebran (Denmark/Venezuela) & Carmen Mehnert (Germany), Lynda Gaudreau (Canada), Cristian Duarte (Brazil), Elio Gervasi (Austria/Italy), Sebastian Prantl (Austria), Katarzyna Kozyra (Poland), Matsune & Subal (Austria), Rebecca Murgi (Italy), Editta Braun (Austria) and Pathosbüro art group (Austria). Radek Hewelt’s individual projects, incl. Zoom In, 21 minut [Twenty-One Minutes] and Close-up, have been presented in Poland and abroad at such events as the Dancas na Cidade festival in Lisbon, ImPulsTanz and Imagetanz in Vienna, and Festival d’Automne in Paris.
