Mart Kangro choreographer. For several years he was a dancer with the Estonian National Opera, where he took his first steps in the art of choreography (“Many Things in Life Remain Unseen Anyway” 2001). His first solo “Start. Based on a True Story” premiered in Tallinn in 2001 and was later presented at the Aerowaves Network in The Place Theatre, London. In 2002 Mart worked with Thomas Lehman in Berlin on “Schreibstück” and in 2004 on “Functionen”. As a dancer he has also worked with Mai Murdmaa, Charles Linehan, Xavier Le Roy, Susanne Berggren. Mart is the founder and member of the music and dance improvisation group PROIMPRO. His performances have been presented in France, UK, Ireland, all Scandinavian countries, USA, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Austria and Lithuania.
