Katarzyna Chmielewska graduated from the Secondary Ballet School in Gdańsk and the Contemporary Dance School P.A.R.T.S in Brussels (1997). Since 1993, she has co-created the Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre alongside Leszek Bzdyl. The company works as a creative collective, and has developed over fifty pieces. Since 2009, the Theatre has been affiliated with the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk. Its perfor- mances have been presented in China, India, South Korea and the United States, among others. Its works are informed by movement, dance, word, the interplay of form and convention, as well as the grotesque.
