For years associated with Polski Teatr Tańca and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, dancer and theatre expert, Iwona Pasińska has recently began collaboration with Movements Factory (section of PSIT). She dances main parts in the whole of PTT’s repertoire. Awarded Leon Wójcikowski Medal for the most outstanding young Polish dancer in 1987, she studies and delves into dance theatre from several different angles: from the practical (permanently perfecting the craft), through sociological (researching dance theatre’s cause-and-effect contexts), to historical (studying the phenomenon on ethno-, anthropo- and genological levels). She has danced to choreographies by Ewa Wycichowska, Yossi Berg, Virpi Pahkinen, Susanne Jaresand, Jacek Przybyłowicz, Rafał Dziemidok, Magda Reiter; as actor-dancer she has collaborated with repertory companies, incl. Witkacy Theatre from Zakopane, Polski theatre companies from Poznań and Wrocław, as well as alternative ensembles: the Usta Usta /2xu/ or the Strefa Ciszy. She has designed stage movement for dramatic performances: Szekspir albo róbta co chcecie [Shakespeare or What You Will] (dir. A. Dziuk, Witkacy Theatre), Na przełęczy [On the Mountain Pass] (dir. A. Dziuk), Erosion (dir. Marcin Liber, Usta Usta /2xu/ Theatre), and prepared three auteur pieces at Atelier Polskiego Teatru Tańca: Gra I. Czas [Game I. Time] (2002), Moment: gra (dwójka) (2006), and Gramy x 3 [Play x 3] (2008).
