Eszter Gál is a dancer and teacher at the Budapest University of Theatre and Film. She is also a certified teacher of the “Skinner Releasing Technique”, co-founder of the Artman MM Association (www.artman-hu) and member and one of the directors of the Tánceánia company (since 2002)as well as co-founding member of Cranky Bodies a/company in Berlin. For over twenty years she has been teaching, practicing and researching releasing technique and improvisation and creating and performing solo and group dance works. Since 1998, she has been a guest lecturer at master workshops and international festivals. She is an organizer of important national and international events and projects (Kontakt Budapest International Improvisation Festival, ECITE, PORCH, Ponderosa Tanzland, IDOCDE and LEAP), as well as co-founder of IDOCDE (www.idocde.net) and coordinator and researcher for the EU-funded international project documenting contemporary dance education REFLEX EUROPE (2015-2018).
