Deufert&Plischke (Kattrin Deufert and Thomas Plischke) are choreographers whose art is essentially created together. Starting in 2001, there are no works created neither by Kattrin Deufert nor by Thomas Plischke, but by artistwin. Everything is done by at least two people. Artistwin pursue their goal of creating a new epic theater. Their work is presented as successfully in museums as in other spaces and theaters. Recent projects created with friendly artists and theorists include the series “Anarchiv” (2008-11, realized in Brussels, Hamburg and Vienna, among others), “Emergence Rooms” (2010, in Vienna, Hasselt and Stuttgart, among others) and “Entropisches Instytut” (2012, Berlin, Sofia, Mülheim and Hamburg). For eleven years deufert&plischke have been teaching at art universities in Germany and elsewhere. Since 2010 they are senior lecturers at the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin (HZT) in the course “Dance, Context, Choreography” (undergraduate studies).
