Chris Haring, choreographer, dancer. Worked with international companies such as DV 8 Physical Theatre (London), Nikolais/Luis Dance Cie (USA), man act (GB), Nigel Charnock (GB), with Pilottanzt, Willi Dorner, Tanz*Hotel, a.o. In cooperation with multimedia artist and composer Klaus Obermaier he developed and performed the videodance performances D.A.V.E. and VIVISECTOR which have been successfully shown all over Europe, Asia, USA and Australia (www.exile.at/dave, www.exile.at/vivisector). The production FREMDKOERPER, premiered in Tanzquartier Vienna 2003, is influenced by science fiction films and deals with the human body as a cybernetic landscape (nominated as “best performance” at Biennale de la Danse in Lyon 2004). In 2004 he founded liquid.loft together with Andreas Berger, Thomas Jelinek and Stephanie Cumming and choreographed internationally successful pieces like “Kind of Heroes” (Burgtheater Vienna 5/2005), “My private Bodyshop” (10/2005 Tanzquartier Vienna), “Running Sushi” (6/2006 ImPulstanz). In 2007 the first two productions of the “Posing” series, Posing Project A (The Art of Wow) + Posing Project B (The Art of Seduction), were staged (Tanzquartier Vienna, ImPulsTanz Vienna int. Festival, Biennale di Venezia). Posing Project B (The Art of Seduction) won the Golden Lion at the Biennale di Venezia. Posing Project C (The Art of Garfunkel) completed Trilogy at ImpulsTanz Vienna Int. Festival in 2008. Liquid Loft also created the performance and visualisation for the Austrian Pavillion at the EXPO in Zaragoza 2008.

Liquid Loft is currently considered to be one of the most successful Austrian performance groups on an international scale. Founded in 2005 by choreographer Chris Haring together with musician Andreas Berger, dancer Stephanie Cumming, dramaturgue Thomas Jelinek and concept artist Katherina Zakravsky, Liquid Loft, in their performances and installations, always put contemporary dance in context with other contemporary art forms, thus creating a conclusive piece of art. Their distinct language of metaphors and forms, their special acoustic stage sets and their professional creation of dance has led to wide international recognition, such as the Golden Lion for the Best Performance at the Biennale di Venezia 2007.
