The Visegrad Artists Residency Program (VARP)

The Visegrad Artist Residency Program – Performing Arts was inaugurated in 2011.

It offers the opportunity to host artists or performing arts companies from all and any V4 member countries and support the joint work of talented artists. It aims to create a platform for the exchange of information and support for theater and contemporary dance in Central Europe.

The program seeks to promote innovation, experimentation and creativity in the performing arts, i.e. new dramatic art, contemporary dance and new circus, physical, visual and alternative theater and performance. It serves to exchange experiences and contribute to more intensive cooperation between independent artists and performing arts institutions in the V4 countries, and is not intended for traditional theaters, productions already produced or theater festivals.
